Frisco’s PGA of America Forms Investment Partnership to Drive Innovation in Golf

Joining Elysian Park Ventures—the private investment arm of the Los Angeles Dodgers’ ownership group—PGA of America has formed EP Golf Ventures, LLC. Its first two investments include mobile golf simulator Dryvebox and 3D motion-capture coaching app startup Sportsbox AI. “Through EP Golf Ventures, we'll be able to identify and invest in the most promising businesses within the golf industry to support both innovation and the growth of the game,” says PGA CEO Seth Waugh.

Frisco’s New Firefly Park Development Gets Dream Hotel As Anchor

Slated to break ground next year, Firefly Park will add "a significantly different, cool vibe to Frisco," says the city's mayor. Developer Kyle Wilks of Wilks Development hired Amsterdam-based UNStudio to develop the master plan in collaboration with Sasaki Associates.

That European influence is showing up in the 230-acre project's walkable, park-laden layout—and in the architecture's future-forward look. The Dream Hotel will be designed with hints of the region, with a design philosophy “both surreal and contemporarily chic."
