Forget playing catch-up—Dallas-Fort Worth is setting the pace for AI leadership. The region’s visionary companies, top academic institutions, and maverick culture—bolstered by its rise as a top tech talent market—make it fertile ground for the algorithmic age.

Artificial intelligence advancement thrives on the region’s fusion of strengths. But it takes people to unleash its possibilities.

That’s why Dallas Innovates, in partnership with the Dallas Regional Chamber (DRC) and Dallas AI, has launched the AI 75. The new program will recognize the most innovative people in artificial intelligence in Dallas-Fort Worth. Nominations officially open today, and the inaugural list of honorees will be revealed in May.

The AI 75 celebrates the visionaries, creators, and influencers making the biggest impact in these areas.

“The Dallas region is the fastest-growing high-tech center in the country,” Dankesreiter said. “We launched the program with Dallas Innovates because we’re truly inspired by the incredible talent we have right here. These brilliant minds are not just working on AI; they’re changing the game and shaping what’s next.”

Categories reflect the AI ecosystem

The AI 75 celebrates the visionaries, creators, and influencers making the biggest impact in these areas.

The inaugural AI 75 features seven categories honoring innovators across the AI ecosystem. “The AI 75 celebrates the people making real waves in our AI landscape, from corporate visionaries to social innovators,” said Quincy Preston, co-founder and editor of Dallas Innovates. “If you’re working in AI, we invite you to explore the categories, no matter your field or focus.” The AI 75 cuts across the AI spectrum, Preston said, “from the mavericks engineering breakthroughs to the transformers applying AI in groundbreaking ways.”

The AI 75 categories are:
AI Visionary: Leaders and thought leaders shaping the future of AI.
AI Maverick: Pioneers inventing novel AI technologies.
AI Transformer: Practitioners revolutionizing industries through AI adoption.
AI Champion: Community leaders and allies supporting the growth of AI.
