Irving-Based Vistra Names First Chief Strategy and Sustainability Officer

Stacey Doré will join Vistra as its first chief strategy and sustainability officer and executive vice president of public affairs, the company announced.

As of August 23, she’ll be responsible for corporate strategy, sustainability, regulatory and government affairs, communications, and community engagement at the Irving-based Fortune 500 power company.

Doré, who climbed the ladder as a corporate counsel, will report to Jim Burke, Vistra’s president and chief executive officer in the new role....

The new HQ is just part of the new 660-acre PGA Frisco campus. Two championship golf courses, a new 510-room Omni Resort, a performance center, and other attractions are expected to drive $2.5 billion in economic impact over the next 20 years.

Fort Worth-Based American Airlines Orders Up to 20 Boom Supersonic Aircraft
Nearly 30 years after the last Concorde flight, American Airlines is betting on a supersonic future. The Fort Worth-based airline has ordered up to 20 Boom Supersonic Overture aircraft, with an option to order up to 40 more. But don't book your flight yet: Denver-based Boom doesn't expect to roll its first Overture off the production line until 2025, and the first passenger flights are slated for 2029.

When they do take flight, the Overtures are expected to fly up to 80 passengers at Mach 1.7 over water, reaching destinations in as little as half the time of subsonic airliners.
