Here's "who said what" in Dallas Innovates Every Day.This Saturday, August 20, the inaugural Dallas Celeb Fashion Awards will be held at The Statler hotel in downtown Dallas.

Stroud says she created the star-studded event “to honor Black celebrities with iconic brands, to showcase Black designers, and to pay homage to fashion icons.”

The gala will feature a high-energy show spotlighting the fashion brands Karl Kani, Dapper Dan, FUBU, and Baby Phat. Founders and reps of all four brands will attend.

Titia Owens and comedian Griff (also co-host of “Get Up! Mornings” with Erica Campbell) will be the event’s emcees, with the red carpet hosted by EMMY award-winning host Ro Parrish.

Event proceeds will benefit various DFW nonprofits specializing in services for the homeless, single mothers, senior citizens, and mental health awareness.

Doors will open at 4 p.m. and the show starts at 6 p.m. Tickets begin at $150. For more info, go here.
