CodeLaunch DFW is Bringing its Seed Accelerator Competition Finals to Dallas for the First Time

After years of holding its annual event in Frisco, CodeLaunch DFW is coming to Southside Music Hall at Gilley’s in Dallas on November 16. Six companies will face off for the top prize in an event that comprises a tech tradeshow, a startup conference, and a “raucous networking event.” And this year it's modeling itself after local favorite Digital Fight Club. “CodeLaunch is a startup and rock-n-roll show like nothing you've ever seen before,” promises President and Founder Jason Taylor.

Late last month, IBM acquired Dallas-based digital product engineering services firm Dialexa “to deepen its product engineering expertise and provide end-to-end digital transformation services for clients.” Terms of the deal weren't disclosed. But this week the company's co-founders, Scott Harper and Mark Haidar, disclosed something else on LinkedIn: How they both quit their jobs 12 years ago to launch a new adventure that would become Dialexa.

The startup is an online app platform for automotive enthusiasts, enabling them to create, share, and explore custom vehicle profiles. One of six startups that competed at the event, Autix is now looking to raise $1.5 million for marketing, product development, and execution of its social media strategy.
