Advanced Therapies Week 2025—a conference focused on the latest innovations in cell and gene therapies, regenerative medicine, and other biotechnologies—attracted industry leaders, researchers, and visionaries to Dallas’ Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center in late January. Organized by London-based Phacilitate, the 4-day conference acted as a “collaborative hub” showcasing the intersection of cutting-edge science, transformative healthcare solutions, and dynamic regional collaboration.
From gene editing breakthroughs to advancements in cell therapy manufacturing, the conference reinforced “the immense potential of advanced therapies to transform medicine and improve lives worldwide,” according to BioNTX, the bioscience and healthcare innovation trade organization serving North Texas.
“Advanced Therapies Week was a powerful reminder of North Texas’ unique ability to foster groundbreaking solutions and position itself as a leader in life sciences,” BioNTX CEO Kathleen Otto-Rosenblum said in a statement.
A highlight of the week was a tour of Pegasus Park, a leading hub for life sciences innovation in Dallas. Sponsored by Pegasus Park with the support of the Dallas Regional Chamber and BioNTX, the tour showcased Pegasus Park as “a testament to the region’s dedication to advancing scientific discovery and supporting entrepreneurial growth,” BioNTX said.
“We’re proud to be part of North Texas’ extraordinary momentum in life sciences,” Matt Crommett, Managing Director at LH Capital and Lyda Hill Philanthropies, said in a statement. “Events like Advanced Therapies Week highlight the collaborative spirit and cutting-edge advancements that are defining our region and shaping the future.”
Kelly Cloud, VP of economic development for life sciences at the DRC, called Dallas-Fort Worth “a hub for innovation and opportunity, and this event demonstrated how our collaborative community is shaping the future of health care.”
“With our unmatched accessibility and central location, number of direct flights, and rapidly growing life science ecosystem, our region is perfect for conferences like Advanced Therapies Week,” Cloud added.
More insights to come at September’s iC³ Summit
The recent Advanced Therapies Week will get a revealing local follow-up this September when BioNTX hosts the iC³ Life Science & Healthcare Innovation Summit September 16 & 17 at the Hilton Anatole in Dallas. That event is slated to provide a glimpse into the future of life sciences and healthcare, spotlighting “the transformative convergence of biology, technology, and artificial intelligence, exploring how these advancements are driving global breakthroughs in precision medicine, biomanufacturing, and more.”
“North Texas is thriving because of the shared vision and dedication of organizations like the Lyda Hill Foundation, the Dallas Regional Chamber, and the entire life sciences community,” Otto said. “Together, we’re not just keeping pace with innovation—we’re leading it.”
