Law Firm: Carstens Cahoon, LLP (Local)
Application No., Date, Speed: 14159088 on 01/20/2014 (1751 days app to issue)

Abstract: An extruder die designed to produce a spiral corn-based snack food product with consistent, tight spiral pitch and the resultant food product. The extruder die has a center post parallel to the flow path along with three cone-shaped receiving ports arranged in a cloverleaf pattern around the center post. The die has three curved slots on the output side of the die which are in fluid communication with the cone-shaped receiving ports. At the distal end of each of these slots is a semi-circular tip. The tip has a diameter larger than the width of its associated slot. Further, the tip is located at the apex of a cone-shaped receiving port with which it is in fluid communication, thus providing for the highest flow velocity of the extrudate through the tip. The resultant flow profile produces the consistent spiral shape of the snack product produced by the die design described. NULL

Abstract: An inflight connection system for aircraft having at least one wing with a wingtip includes, for each aircraft, a primary connector selectively extendable from the wingtip, an alignment connector selectively extendable from the wingtip and a male and female connector assembly disposed proximate the wingtip. The primary connectors extend a greater distance from the wingtips than the alignment connectors such that the primary connectors form a first connection between the aircraft when the aircraft are flying in a connection pattern. Thereafter, retraction of the primary connectors reduces wingtip separation of the aircraft such that the alignment connectors form a second connection between the aircraft establishing coarse alignment therebetween. Thereafter, retraction of the primary and alignment connectors further reduces wingtip separation of the aircraft such that the male and female connector assemblies form a third connection between the aircraft establishing fine alignment therebetween.

Functional core circuitry with serial scan test expected, mask circuitry
Patent No. 10120025

Inventor(s): Alan Hales (Richardson, TX), Lee D. Whetsel (Parker, TX)
Assignee(s): Texas Instruments Incorporated (Dallas, TX)
Law Firm: No Counsel
Application No., Date, Speed: 15795943 on 10/27/2017 (375 days app to issue)

Abstract: Test circuits located on semiconductor die enable a tester to test a plurality of die/ICs in parallel by inputting both stimulus and response patterns to the plurality of die/ICs. The response patterns from the tester are input to the test circuits along with the output response of the die/IC to be compared. Also disclosed is the use of a response signal encoding scheme whereby the tester transmits response test commands to the test circuits, using a single signal per test circuit, to perform: (1) a compare die/IC output against an expected logic high, (2) a compare die/IC output against an expected logic low, and (3) a mask compare operation. The use of the signal encoding scheme allows functional testing of die and ICs since all response test commands (i.e. 1-3 above) required at each die/IC output can be transmitted to each die/IC output using only a single tester signal connection per die/IC output. In addition to functional testing, scan testing of die and ICs is also possible.

Patent No. 10120027

Inventor(s): Lee D. Whetsel (Parker, TX)
Assignee(s): Texas Instruments Incorporated (Dallas, TX)
Law Firm: No Counsel
Application No., Date, Speed: 15593834 on 05/12/2017 (543 days app to issue)

Abstract: Scan architectures are commonly used to test digital circuitry in integrated circuits. The present disclosure describes a method of adapting conventional scan architectures into a low power scan architecture. The low power scan architecture maintains the test time of conventional scan architectures, while requiring significantly less operational power than conventional scan architectures. The low power scan architecture is advantageous to IC/die manufacturers since it allows a larger number of circuits (such as DSP or CPU core circuits) embedded in an IC/die to be tested in parallel without consuming too much power within the IC/die. Since the low power scan architecture reduces test power consumption, it is possible to simultaneously test more die on a wafer than previously possible using conventional scan architectures. This allows wafer test times to be reduced which reduces the manufacturing cost of each die on the wafer.

System, method, and computer program product for creating a virtual database
Patent No. 10120767

Inventor(s): Lon Jones Cherryholmes (Plano, TX)
Assignee(s): Idera, Inc. (Houston, TX)
Law Firm: Park, Vaughan, Fleming Dowler LLP (4 non-local offices)
Application No., Date, Speed: 12795135 on 06/07/2010 (3074 days app to issue)

Abstract: A virtual database is attached to a server database management system (”DBMS”) such that the DBMS believes it needs to recover the database to a last known point of consistency. In order to perform this recovery, the DBMS requests the transaction log file entries to be read from what it believes is the database”s transaction log file. However, the requests are intercepted and translated into requests to read the transaction log portion of the backup file. The DBMS then uses the transaction log records to bring the database to a point of transactional consistency, unaware that the log records are actually being sourced from the backup file. All changes made to the data during the recovery phase and subsequent execution of any TSQL statements are routed into a cache file. Accordingly, a ”virtual” database is created and used by the server DBMS engine as if it were a real database.

Abstract: A method for filtering noise for imaging includes receiving an image frame having position and range data. A filter size divides the frame into filter windows for processing each of the filter windows. For the first pixel, a space to the center pixel and a range difference between this pixel and the center pixel is determined and used for choosing a selected weight from weights in a 2D weight LUT including weighting for space and range difference, a filtered range value is calculated by applying the selected 2D weight to the pixel, and the range, filtered range value and selected 2D weight are summed. The determining, choosing, calculating and summing are repeated for at least the second pixel. A total sum of contributions from the first and second pixel are divided by the sum of selected 2D weights to generate a final filtered range value for the center pixel.

Abstract: A memory device and associated techniques to reduce charge loss of memory cells. In one aspect, a charge loss countermeasure is performed if a word line selected for programming is adjacent to a dummy word line. The countermeasure can involve programming the dummy memory cells through injection disturb. In one approach, the timing is adjusted for the voltages on the selected word line and the dummy word line at the end of a program voltage. The selected word line voltage can be decreased more quickly, or the dummy word line voltage can be decreased more slowly. The decrease of the dummy word line voltage can also be delayed. Another approach involves elevating the bit line voltage during the decrease of the selected word line voltage. The bit line voltage can be a function of the assigned data state of a selected cell.

Cycle skipping prevent circuit in a regulator of a DC-to-DC converter
Patent No. 10122272

Inventor(s): Masashi Nogawa (Sachse, TX)
Assignee(s): Active-Semi, Inc. (, , VG)
Law Firm: Imperium Patent Works (2 non-local offices)
Application No., Date, Speed: 15859401 on 12/30/2017 (311 days app to issue)

Abstract: A DC-to-DC converter employs peak current mode control and includes a cycle skipping prevent circuit. If a latch is set, then a high side switch is turned on. A comparator receives a signal indicative of current flow and a compensated error signal. The prevent circuit supplies a delayed version of a low duty cycle, fixed frequency, oscillator signal onto the set input lead of the latch. The prevent circuit gates a high signal as output by the comparator onto the reset input lead of the latch. If the output of the comparator has, however, not transitioned high by a predetermined time, then the prevent circuit gates a high pulse onto the reset input lead. Accordingly, the prevent circuit ensures that the latch is reset once every period of the signal SET. A cycle skipping prevent circuit is also disclosed for use in a converter that employs valley current mode control.
