Sports Pro Daily is out with its 2023 list of 20 Sports Tech Ideas to Invest in Now—and local startup nVenue has made the list. Dallas-based nVenue's predictive analytics platform takes real-time data of what’s happening in a game and runs it through “millions” of models to show the predictive percentage of what could happen next.
nVenue's tech is "helping bookmakers and broadcasters generate value from every moment in every game," Sports Pro Daily writes.

Texas Governor Greg Abbott has put state agencies on the clock to implement policies that would prohibit the downloading or use of apps such as TikTok on state-owned devices.
Abbott announced the statewide model security plan Monday for Texas state agencies to address vulnerabilities presented by the use of TikTok and other software on personal and state-issued devices. Each state agency will have until February 15 to implement its own policy to enforce this statewide plan. “The security risks associated with the use of TikTok on devices used to conduct the important business of our state must not be underestimated or ignored,” Abbott said.

Aurora Innovation—which is partnering on autonomous freight trucking runs between Dallas, Houston, and El Paso every day—has appointed Ossa Fisher as its president. Fisher joins the company from Istation, a Dallas-based e-learning company.
Fisher will continue to be based out of Dallas near Aurora’s current center for vehicle operations, and "will play a pivotal role" as Aurora scales operations on its way toward commercial launch in 2024.

OncoPower offers a free app and website with a social media-style format where patients can access professionals including dietitians and behavioral therapists, as well as cancer education and meditation content, tools for treatment adherence, and clinical trial mapping.
