Pro Golfer Bryson DeChambeau Gets ‘Largest LED Display Golf Simulator in Texas’ Installed at Dallas Home

Dallas-based Ultravision LED Solutions said it manufactured and installed the simulator, which uses the company's cutting-edge LED display panels—protected by 70 patents—to "revolutionize the traditional simulator setup by eliminating cumbersome cabinet displays, reducing installation and maintenance costs, and enhancing overall performance."

June 15, 2023: This story was updated to include the fact that a net catches balls in front of Ultravision’s golf simulator.

A year ago, pro golfer Bryson DeChambeau offered a YouTube tour of his huge Dallas home. But it may be time to update it.

According to Dallas-based Ultravision LED Solutions, the company has installed what it calls “the largest LED display golf simulator in Texas” for DeChambeau

The golf simulator, powered by Ultravision’s own cutting-edge LED display panels, offers what the company calls “an immersive and lifelike golfing experience to enthusiasts and professionals alike.” Its Modular LED Display technology “revolutionizes the traditional simulator setup by eliminating cumbersome cabinet displays, reducing installation and maintenance costs, and enhancing overall performance,” the company said, noting that its LED display panels and LED technology are protected by over 70 patents.

The panels feature UltraBlack technology, employing a proprietary black base with low reflection that “delivers high contrast with exceptional details.” The panels can be joined together like large video tiles, resulting in an exceptionally large simulator display with the brightness and clarity of a high-end home video solution.

Net in front of simulator catches DeChambeau’s smashes

To protect the LED display from being destroyed by DeChambeau’s 133 MPH swing speeds, a net in front of the simulator catches balls before they can do damage, an Ultravision spokesman told Dallas Innovates.

Founded in 2010, Ultravision offers simulators from outdoor, large-format LED displays to indoor, LED video walls. The company also manufactures and installs digital scoreboards  and digital signage, and offers video wall design, software, and content creation.

DeChambeau joined LIV Golf in 2022

The bulked-up SMU graduate and long-drive-bombing 2020 U.S. Open champion bolted the PGA for Saudi-backed LIV Golf in February 2022—making his own move in a bitter rivalry that ended last week when both associations announced a stunning merger that also includes Europe’s DP World Tour.

DeChambeau isn’t teeing off on his simulator right now, though. He has a pressing appointment tomorrow—a 9:40 a.m. CT tee-off time at the U.S. Open in Los Angeles.
