Frisco’s Greenwatt Lighting Launches Alert System for Schools with First Install in Southlake

The joint venture with Mark Cuban-backed IoT startup MeshTek has released a Kid-Centric lighting system that can communicate emergency safety protocols to students, teachers, and administrators with instant visual cues and immediate notification alerts. The company says its solution "is the only safety lighting system that utilizes a reliable Bluetooth mesh network."
"With school safety being a top concern across the country, this innovation could not have come at a better time," Cuban says.

Innovators across North Texas and entrepreneurs all over the U.S. are racing to launch (and patent) the latest breakthrough AI. That can lead to IP policy issues as emerging tech hits the market. On February 8, the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office will a public meeting to discuss how to promote innovation in AI and Machine Learning tech, to be held virtually and in person at the Arts District Mansion in Dallas.
"The takeaways will shape future work on AI and ET policy," says USPTO Director Kathi Vidal.

Dallas Venture Capital Partners with T-Hub, an Innovation Hub and Business Incubator, and Launches the DVC India Fund

Aiming to eliminate borders when it comes to investing in early-stage startups in multiple countries, the VC firm held an event earlier this month in Hyderabad, India, to announce its partnership with T-Hub and the official launch of the DVC India Fund, which has invested in five companies so far.
"2023 is going to be a tough macro-economic environment, but global enterprises are at an early stage of the digital transformation journey," Co-Founder Abidali Neemuchwala said at the event.

Offering what it calls "the future of first class," Aero already flies passengers from private terminals in San Francisco and Los Angeles to destinations in Los Cabos, Aspen, and Sun Valley. Its new service out of a private terminal in Love Field will launch April 21 with introductory $1,000 one-way flights to Los Cabos, featuring contactless check-in, a crowd-free lounge, and "bespoke, white glove services." The company raised $65 million in August to help fuel its U.S. expansion.

Texas-born Mondi Tag was just 19 when she and her mother became the first female franchisee owners and operators for Dickey’s BBQ in Dallas. Now she's about to open something a little swankier: La Parisienne Bistro & Bar, coming to The Star in Frisco this spring. The 4,325-square-foot bistro was designed by Dubai-based Mayavian Creative Studios to offer an "elegant Parisian feel."
