Improving Acquires Frisco Software Developer, Consulting Firm Zigatta

Plano-based IT services firm Improving said the deal is expected to increase its annualized revenue exceeding $275 million and will further its geographic reach throughout the U.S. and Latin America. In addition to its Plano HQ, Zigatta has offices in Guadalajara, Mexico.

Plano-based IT services firm Improving has acquired Zigatta, a software development and consulting firm specializing in high end data, cloud, software engineering, and architecture.

Zigatta, founded in 2015, is headquartered in Frisco and has offices in Guadalajara, Mexico. Terms of the acquisition were not released.

Cultivating company culture

“There is apparent alignment between our two companies,” Improving CEO Curtis Hite said in a statement. “From the beginning, we have been impressed with the Zigatta team and their commitment to building strong relationships with customers as well as cultivating a strong company culture.”

Improving officials expect the deal to increase the company’s annualized revenue exceeding $275 million and will further its geographic reach throughout the U.S. and Latin America.

Joining forces to grow

Zigatta CEO Nahid Giga said that he was excited for the company to join Improving.

Through Improving’s “Enterprise Strategy,” which focuses on merging technology service companies that share a commitment to building trust, delivering excellence, and cultivating culture, the Zigatta leadership team will remain intact and continue to operate and grow the business, while now having access to the full range of services provided by Improving’s collective offerings.

Improving is a technology consulting, custom software solutions, and training organization, and partners with private equity firm Trinity Hunt Partners. It has an international presence with 16 offices across the United States, Canada, and nearshore development offices in Mexico.

In 2019, Improving acquired Code Authority, a custom software development and digital marketing firm based in Frisco.
