Theranos Founder Elizabeth Holmes Has a New Address: A Prison in Texas

Holmes was sentenced to 11 years in federal prison last November for fraudulently misleading investors in the Theranos blood-testing device hoax. Today she moved into her new minimum-security home in Bryan along with 650 other women inmates—including “Real Housewives of Salt Lake City” star Jennifer Shah.

In a 14-0 vote, the Dallas City Council has approved a TxDOT-recommended $1 billion "hybrid trench" plan to reconfigure I-345, the sprawling elevated highway that separates downtown Dallas from the Deep Ellum neighborhood to its east. Take a look at the new plan, and get ready for the gridlock to come when the bulldozers roll up—in 2028 or 2029.

After years of delays, demolition is finally complete at the Valley View mall site at Preston Road and LBJ Freeway. Its rebirth as 'Dallas Midtown' is slated to begin with a groundbreaking as soon as December for a mixed-use building with 275 apartments and around 26,000 square feet of ground-floor retail and restaurants, said Beck Ventures CEO Scott Beck.
