Animated Video Whets Appetites for ‘Exploring The Midway’ at The State Fair

New stop-motion animation aims to stop you in your tracks—and get you excited about experiencing The Midway starting September 29.

The 2023 State Fair of Texas is less than two weeks away. To whet your appetite for walking down The Midway (not to mention for eating corned dogs and this year’s versions of fried everything), the State Fair has dropped a new animated teaser video.

Released on X (formerly known as Twitter), the video animates elements of the State Fair’s 2023 theme artwork.

Highlights: A teddy bear prize dunking a basketball; a rubber chicken taking squeaky flight; a Midway barker impersonating Big Tex; and the big guy himself wielding a condiment-slathered corny dog.

The 37-second video was created using paper and stop-motion animation, the State Fair said. You can see it by going here.

The State Fair of Texas will run from Friday, September 29, to Sunday, October 22, 2023.
