Ex-Frisco Mayor and PGA Official Join Board of Collin County Business Alliance

Former Frisco Mayor, Maher Maso, and PGA of America's Chief People Officer, Sandy Cross, are set to join the board of Collin County Business Alliance, as it seeks to drive regional impact and foster stakeholder collaboration for a vibrant future.

Maher Maso and Sandy Cross have been named to the Collin County Business Alliance board.

The mission of the Collin County Business Alliance is to engage business leaders and foster collaboration with stakeholders to drive regional impact in key areas ensuring the vibrancy of the community’s future.

Maso has served as a principal of site selection and incentives since 2018 at Ryan LLC. Before that, he was mayor of the City of Frisco, and CEO of the Prosper Economic Development Corporation.

Maso positioned the city of Frisco as a hub of first-class entertainment, sports, and sports medicine, including The Star development — the home of the Dallas Cowboys — as well as the Dallas Stars, FC Dallas, and the world headquarters of the PGA.

As mayor, he earned Frisco a spot on Money Magazine’s “Best Places to Live List” and Allstate’s “Safe and Secure Communities List.” Maso is a regular keynote speaker and has spoken globally for government, trade associations, and corporations, the alliance said.

Cross is the PGA of America’s chief people officer and has been with the organization more than 27 years, the alliance said. The PGA has relocated its headquarters to Frisco.

Her professional career largely has been devoted to establishing diversity, equity, and inclusion programming geared toward forming a people-centric culture for employees and golfers alike.

Cross is a certified diversity professional and a certified chief human resources officer, the alliance said.
