TimelyCare Adds Veteran Exec as Chief Marketing Officer

The Fort Worth-based company said Michelle Lanter Smith will drive brand engagement and revenue growth through innovation, data-driven marketing strategies, and talent cultivation.

Veteran marketing executive Michelle Lanter Smith has been hired as chief marketing officer at Fort Worth-based TimelyCare, a virtual health and well-being provider for higher education.

The company said that Smith will drive brand engagement and revenue growth through innovation, data-driven marketing strategies, and talent cultivation.

“We’re delighted to have Michelle on board as we navigate this transformative era for TimelyCare,” Jacki Craft, chief people officer at TimelyCare, said in a statement. “Her visionary insights and outstanding leadership will be instrumental in advancing our mission to foster student success and improve the health and well-being of campus communities.”

Smith said she’s excited about her new role.

“TimelyCare’s life-changing mission and award-winning company culture inspired me to join and contribute to its next chapter of growth,” Smith said in a statement. “I’m eager to leverage my experience and passion to expand and elevate TimelyCare’s transformative impact.”

Smith began her career at IBM. Her marketing background includes leading brands toward stronger market positions and more meaningful connections with their audiences.

TimelyCare said Smith’s expertise combines visionary leadership with strong operational skills. She has successfully managed multidisciplinary marketing teams spanning North America, Latin America, and India.

Beyond marketing leadership, Smith has also served as president of the human resources technology company PrismHR.

Founded in 2017, TimelyCare serves millions of students, educators, and staff at more than 400 campuses nationwide. Its services include mental health counseling, on-demand emotional support, medical care, psychiatric care, health coaching, student success coaching, basic needs assistance, faculty and staff guidance, peer support, and self-guided wellness tools.
