The Dallas Foundation has announced Rising GENerosity, a new initiative designed to inspire and empower Gen X, Millennials, and Gen Z to tackle the most pressing issues facing the Dallas community. As Texas’ first community foundation, it brings together donors, nonprofits, and local leaders to drive meaningful change through strategic philanthropy.
Targeted at a new generation of changemakers aged 25 to 50, the program offers opportunities to learn, engage, and make a lasting impact through collaborative giving.
The initiative was unveiled to nearly 100 attendees during a kickoff event in November at Park House. Elizabeth Carlock Phillips, Dallas Foundation board member, served as the evening’s emcee, with remarks from Dupree Scovell and Courtney Underwood, who are both Dallas Foundation board members and Rising GENerosity committee members.
Programming highlights for 2025
Rising GENerosity will officially kick off its 2025 activities with a luncheon on Tuesday, February 25, featuring special guest Bradie James, a former Dallas Cowboys player and philanthropist. Throughout the year, participants will have opportunities to engage in:
• Lunch-and-learns with leading philanthropic experts
• Site visits to innovative nonprofits driving change in the community
• Social events and family volunteer opportunities designed to foster collaboration and build connections among changemakers
The Dallas Foundation envisions Rising GENerosity as a movement to redefine how younger generations approach giving and social impact. According to the organization, the initiative seeks to drive lasting change in the Dallas community by fostering collaboration and engagement.
