The DEC Network Adds Seven New Members To Its Board, Announces Awards

Seven new members of the Dallas Entrepreneur Center’s fiduciary board were announced by The DEC Network Board Chair Tim Hill.

The nonprofit said that the new members bring a wealth of experience and knowledge in various industries and will be instrumental in helping it achieve its mission of helping entrepreneurs start, build, and grow their businesses....

The inaugural Techstars Physical Health Fort Worth Accelerator is kicking off with 10 startups who come from all over the map—from Dallas to cities across the U.S. as well as Canada, Switzerland, and Germany. They'll be taking up residence in Fort Worth for an "intensive" 13-week mentorship program that makes each eligible for $120,000 in seed funding from the UNT Health Science Center and Goff Capital. “We believe that Fort Worth can become the physical health innovation capital of the world, and this is an incredible next step to making that vision a reality,” says Dr. Sylvia Trent-Adams, president of UNT HSC.

Revive Dallas Small Business Relief Fund to Provide $5M for Entrepreneurs

The fund, which already has more than $1 million committed, was initiated by The DEC Network, the Dallas Citizens Council, and the Dallas Regional Chamber in a collaboration with the Communities Foundation and LiftFund. It's expected to provide loans for more than 250 applicants who may receive up to $25,000 in funds.
