TOCA Social Launches Friday at Grandscape With Brandon Aubrey as an Investor

Just months before North Texas becomes a global epicenter of FIFA World Cup fervor, the soccer-driven entertainment concept is launching its first U.S. venue in The Colony this week. Interactive soccer-based games powered by proprietary ball-delivery and tracking technology will be on tap, along with "chef-driven food, craft cocktails, and vibrant social spaces."

Terry welcomed an invitation-only crowd Saturday night for a preview experience of Cosm at Grandscape in The Colony. Officially opening on August 31 with a College Kickoff Weekend, the venue and its 87-foot diameter, 12K-plus LED dome will make people feel like they're magically close to the action of live sports and artistic events—from college football and NBA games to Premier League matches, UFC fights, performing arts events, and more. On Saturday night, the crowd got a taste of what "immersive shared reality" is like—and came away wowed.

The first TOCA Social immersive soccer entertainment venue opened in London in 2021, attracting cast members of "Ted Lasso" and top Premier League stars. Next summer, the first U.S. venue will kick its way into Grandscape in The Colony, thanks to a partnership with Major League Soccer in advance of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

North Texas is quickly staking claim to be the capital of cricket in the U.S. We already have the first professional cricket stadium in the U.S.—Grand Prairie Stadium, home of Major League Cricket's Texas Super Kings, who'll host the MLC's inaugural match this July 13th. The new 14,000-square-foot center opened to the public in November and is designed to help members live longer, healthier, and more fulfilling lives by detecting illnesses at their earliest stages, the company said....

Energy and utility services innovator ELM is constructing a new, 125,000-square-foot headquarters and manufacturing facility in The Colony for its MicroGrid and Solar divisions.
When fully operational, Illinois-based ELM said the facility will employ more than 100 clean-energy professionals, including engineering, production technicians, customer service, sales, and management employees.
