Hedera Governing Council Adds 2 Leaders to Executive Team

The Hedera Governing Council has appointed two new members to the executive team. The council is a consortium of leading organizations that operate the open source, hashgraph-powered, carbon-negative Hedera network for Web3 applications. Hedera said that the appointments come after it decentralized earlier this year, a move in which the product, engineering, and marketing departments of Hedera spun off into Swirlds Labs....

Late last month, IBM acquired Dallas-based digital product engineering services firm Dialexa “to deepen its product engineering expertise and provide end-to-end digital transformation services for clients.”
Terms of the deal weren't disclosed. But this week the company's co-founders, Scott Harper and Mark Haidar, disclosed something else on LinkedIn: How they both quit their jobs 12 years ago to launch a new adventure that would become Dialexa.

C&W Top High Tech Cities Report: DFW Is No. 7 in U.S.

In Q1 2022, the Dallas-Fort Worth metro employed 272,390 high-tech workers—an 8% year-over-year increase and a 23% increase compared to Q1 2017. That places DFW at No. 7 in the U.S.
The report also lists the top DFW tech companies, current economic impact and future outlook, and top submarkets for DFW tech companies.

The Hedera Governing Council will buy the IP from Swirlds, a startup co-founded in 2015 by the inventor of the Hashgraph algorithm. Dallas mathematician and computer scientist Leemon Baird created the distributed ledger technology to outperform other protocols in power, security, and speed.
