Dallas-based Edition Collective has been bought by men’s retailer Q Fifty One, according to D CEO.
The e-commerce fashion startup founder Matt Alexander will become president and CEO of Q Fifty One Digital, a newly formed division. Financial details were not disclosed, but according to D CEO, Dallas-based Q Fifty One will receive Edition Collective’s intellectual property and customer list in the deal. Edition Collective is an umbrella company including both fashion companies Foremost and Imprint.
The purchase will help Q Fifty One step up its e-commerce efforts. Currently, it is primarily a brick-and-mortar operation.
“We’re doing eight figures now, with profitability in the seven figures,” Q Fifty One CEO Raja Ratan told D CEO. “All of it is without Web. We just feel its time to bring that experience online.”
