Patent No. 10004184

Inventor(s): John Bryant (Carrollton, TX)
Assignee(s): BRYANT CONSULTANTS, INC. (Carrollton, TX)
Law Firm: Schultz Associates, P.C. (Local)
Application No., Date, Speed: 14728330 on 06/02/2015 (1120 days app to issue)

Abstract: A system and method for moisture control includes a computer, a probe controller connected to the computer, a set of probes connected to the probe controller, a sprinkler controller connected to the computer, and a set of sprinklers connected to the sprinkler controller. The set of probes are driven into the ground according to a predetermined set of positions. A set of high voltage currents is injected into the ground through the set of probes and measurements are taken. A three-dimensional resistivity model is generated from the measurements and is compared to a set of moisture requirements. A set of sprinkler commands is generated based on the three-dimensional resistivity model and the set of moisture requirements. If the three-dimensional resistivity model meets the set of moisture requirements, the set of sprinklers are activated in each of a set of sprinkler zones according the three-dimensional resistivity model where watering is needed.

Foosball table safety accessory
Patent No. 10004977

Inventor(s): Spirit Mollice (Arlington, TX)
Assignee(s): UNASSIGNED
Law Firm: Ferrell”s PLLC (no location found)
Application No., Date, Speed: 15198652 on 06/30/2016 (726 days app to issue)

Abstract: A foosball table safety accessory is disclosed which includes a conical frustum shaped sleeve, a cylindrical nut and a cylindrical sleeve which forms a modified foosball rod bearing nut. The modified foosball rod bearing nut is attachable to and removable from side walls of the foosball table. The cylindrical nut has a through bore with internal threading throughout the length of the through bore. In the conical frustum shaped sleeve, one end is broader than the other side. The cylindrical nut is attached to the broad side of the conical frustum shaped sleeve. The cylindrical sleeve is attached to the narrow side of the conical frustum shaped sleeve. The accessory or protective sleeve would encapsulate the free end of a foosball rod and allows the foosball rod to freely move back and forth, yet provides for the sleeve to be fixed. Overall, a new type of bearing nut together with a polycarbonate tubing or sleeve enhance the safety of the foosball table during use. The accessory would enhance safety by preventing injuries by securing the rod within the sleeve so as the moving rod does not inadvertently hit a bystander. Safety is also enhanced since the rod is not protruding from the sleeve.

Abstract: Systems and methods for performing adaptive host memory buffer caching of transition layer tables (FTL tables) are disclosed. In one form a non-volatile memory system receives, in conjunction with receiving a first host command from a host system, hint information from the host system identifying a file stored at the non-volatile memory system that the host system will read data from. The non-volatile memory system identifies one or more FTL tables that are associated with data of the file identified in the hint information and sends the one or more FTL tables to the host system for storage in a host memory buffer at the host system. After sending the one or more FTL tables to the host system, the non-volatile memory system receives a second host command from the host system, the host command including an instruction to read data from one or more physical block addresses at the non-volatile memory system storing data of the file.

Abstract: A memory device and associated techniques for reducing charge loss in a select gate transistor. A dummy memory cell is weakly programmed using a hot electron injection type of disturb to reduce the movement of holes toward the adjacent select gate transistor in a common charge trapping layer. The weak programming can occur in a program loop, e.g., in a transition between a pre-charge phase and a program phase, or in an erase loop, just after the erase of dummy and data memory cells. The weak programming does not involve a time penalty since it is concurrent with other operations. The disturb can be provided by increasing the control gate voltage of the dummy memory cell and/or decreasing the control gate voltage of the select gate transistor.

Abstract: Techniques are presented for determining current leakage from a memory array or other circuit based on a low voltage path. For example, the technique can be applied to determine word line to word line leakage. By looking at a count for the clock used in regulating the low voltage output node, the amount of leakage can be determined. The leakage determination can be performed as part of test process or during normal memory operations.

Block health monitoring using threshold voltage of dummy memory cells
Patent No. 10008277

Inventor(s): Liang Pang (Fremont, CA), Nian Niles Yang (Mountain View, CA), Xuehong Yu (San Jose, CA), Yingda Dong (San Jose, CA)
Assignee(s): SanDisk Technologies LLC (Addison, TX)
Law Firm: Vierra Magen Marcus LLP (2 non-local offices)
Application No., Date, Speed: 15262262 on 09/12/2016 (652 days app to issue)

Abstract: Techniques are provided for measuring the endurance of a set of data memory cells by evaluating the threshold voltage (Vth) of associated dummy memory cells. A cell has a high endurance or good data retention if it is able to maintain the charges. However, there can be a variation in the endurance of cells even within a single die. By evaluating the dummy memory cells, an early warning can be obtained of a degradation of the data memory cells. Moreover, there is no interference with the operation of the data memory cells. Based on a number of dummy memory cells which have a Vth below a demarcation voltage, a corrective action is taken such as adjusting read voltages, an initial program voltage and/or an initial erase voltage, or marking the block as being bad and recovering the data.

The full duplex mode is evaluated using the first and second channel quality indicators. At least one parameter of the full duplex mode is adjusted based on the evaluating.

Abstract: An interface receives a first digital signature of real-world data. A memory stores the first digital signature as seed data. The interface receives a second digital signature of real-world data. The memory stores the second digital signature as seed data. A processor generates first draw seed based, at least in part, on the seed data. The processor generates a first draw result based upon the first draw seed and a drawing algorithm. The interface receives a second draw result from a remote entity, the second draw result based, at least in part, on the first digital signature and the second digital signature. The processor determines whether the first draw result and the second draw result are in agreement. Upon a determination that the first draw result and the second draw result are in agreement, the interface communicates at least one of the first draw result and the second draw result.
