Michigan-based RoboTire uses "state-of-the-art robotics and advanced algorithms" to change a vehicle's tires in a fraction of the time it takes humans to do it, "reducing an hour-long experience to under 25 minutes while maintaining the highest levels of safety." The Arlington location is the second of Discount Tire's 1,100 stores to implement the system. And it's not a coincidence—Discount Tire is a RoboTire investor.

Making news for the second time this week, the Frisco-based Pro Volleyball Federation today announced Atlanta as the league's third market, with Atlanta businesswoman Colleen Durham Craig as the PVF's first female team owner.
Earlier this week, the league announced that pop star Jason Derulo and Omaha businessman Danny White, founder and CEO of City+Ventures, are launching a PVF franchise in Omaha, Nebraska.

The Cordish Companies and Texas Rangers have announced the opening of Spark Arlington, a two-level, 30,000-square-foot collaborative workspace located inside Choctaw Stadium, the Rangers' former ballpark. Over 20 companies have already become members, including Lone Star Drones, the XFL, WFAA, ANKR Agency, BGD Digital Marketing, Scudder Storycraft, and the National Medal of Honor Museum Foundation.

Dallas-based Financial Strategies Acquisition Corp. has acquired Texas-based preclinical pharmaceutical company Austin Biosciences Corp.
Financial Strategies is a special purpose acquisition company led by CEO Alexander V. Schinzing. It said that upon the deal’s closing, Austin Biosciences will become a wholly owned subsidiary of the company.
Earlier this month, Financial Strategies announced that its board approved an extension of the period of time available to consummate the deal by one month from Feb....

The Dallas-based diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging tech startup raised the $5 million in a round led by Seyen Capital, adding to $5.5 million previously raised by the startup. A new EVP and five VPs have been added to Kanarys' senior leadership team, which plans to use the funding to further expand Kanarys' tech platform.
"This funding, along with the hiring of leading industry experts, will catapult us towards fulfilling our mission," says co-founder and CEO Mandy Price—one of fewer than 20 Black female founders who've raised more than $10 million.
