The 27,500-square-foot new HQ—in partnership with UT Dallas—anchors Richardson's 1,200-acre Innovation Quarter. A masterwork of vision planning years in the making, it's a catalyst to spark innovation and nuture collaborations—and attract hundreds of entrepreneurial businesses. Six new UT Dallas research centers will initially launch at the IQ HQ, helping to build businesses and commercialize research coming from the nearby university.

La La Land Kind Cafe—the coffee shop chain that's been "normalizing kindness" since it opened its first cafe in 2017 on Lower Greenville in Dallas—will debut its first drive-thru location in Richardson Saturday. Offering internship programs for youths who've aged out of foster care, the brand has a goal of spreading both opportunity and joy.
That's won nice rewards for its founder, former SMU Cox School of Business student François Reihani, who made the cover of Entrepreneur's "Young Millionaires" issue and landed on Forbes' 30 Under 30 Social Impact list.

The hub—slated to open in late 2023 or early 2024—will house around 300 employees and offer "cross-functional collaboration" opportunities. From a balcony with views to an innovation center and tech genius bar, Comerica says the Frisco hub will complement its downtown Dallas headquarters.
Extending Comerica's footprint to "one of the most desirable locations for business and innovation in the U.S." positions the bank for future success, says a Comerica EVP.

Dallas' newly opened Hitachi Application Reliability Center is the second of its kind in the world (the company opened its first one in India three months ago). Designed to help clients modernize their IT operations by taking an agile, engineering-led approach, the center expects to employ 120 in Dallas by 2025—adding to the company's already existing nearly 400-member DFW team.
