The Dallas-based organization, alongside global health tech giant Philips, announced re-upping their investment in VC fund Cardiation Capital.

Opendoor—a digital platform that buys and sells homes online—just launched Opendoor Exclusives in Dallas-Fort Worth, touting "off-market" homes at no-haggle prices during a 14-day window. The first buyer to click "buy" and sign a contract puts the home under contract.

Currently, three Texas metros are the only ones in the U.S. with the service. Opendoor plans to expand the program to all of its 50 markets nationwide.

Dallas-based Hillwood has broken ground on two spec industrial buildings in its AllianceTexas development in Fort Worth. The two buildings will total around 1.7 million square feet with cross-dock configurations and 40-foot clear heights. Canadian Chocolate Maker Brings Tech, 120 Jobs to New Rockwall Production Facility

Vancouver-based Chewters Chocolates—a maker of organic, low-sugar treats best known for its brand ChocXO—has selected Rockwall Technology Park for the site of its new 189,000-SF facility. Four "state-of-the-art" advanced production lines will pump out chocolate treats, creating 120 jobs. A glass viewing wall will give locals a sweet peek at how the candy is made. Currently under design, the plant should be operational by the beginning of 2024, Chewters says.
