Earlier this year, Plano-based IT consulting firm Cyber Group rebranded as CG Infinity, launching a new innovation lab and investing in a new 33,000-square-foot Plano HQ and innovation lab. Now we look behind the scenes of its first startup spinout, IgniteConnex—whose low-code, drag-and-drop platform connects and integrates businesses' legacy technology. "Our mantra behind this is you shouldn't have to redo all of your infrastructure," IgniteConnex President and Co-founder Rob Palacios tells Dallas Innovates.

Pier 1 Imports Owner Invests in Local Retailer Tuesday Morning in $32M Deal

Dallas-Based Texas Brand Bank Will Merge with 121-Year-Old Harmony Bank, and Take Its Name

Dallas-based and Dallas-grown, Texas Brand Bank was founded in 2005 and now has over $340 million in assets with five locations in Dallas and Garland, focusing on area small businesses and residents. With the pending merger, it will take on the name of Kemp, Texas-based Harmony Bank—which was formed in 1901, when horse-drawn wagons filled Dallas streets.

“The combination of our two financial institutions will allow us to double our lending limit and acquire additional digital banking options,” providing "greater service to current and future customers," says Texas Brand Bank's president and CEO.

CPRIT Is Funding the Development of Products That Fight Cancer

The Cancer Prevention & Research Institute of Texas has provided more than $3.1 billion in funding toward the development of cancer-fighting therapeutics, devices, diagnostics, and tools since 2010. It's now issued a call for startups and early-stage companies to apply for product development research grants for the 2023 fiscal year. “CPRIT’s mission is to invest in the research prowess of Texas institutions while expediting breakthroughs in cancer cures and prevention,” CEO Wayne Roberts said last May.
