The recently opened Brain Performance Institute announced it will begin a full schedule of brain health-focused workshops and seminars to the public in collaboration with Mastermind, the area’s first “gym for your brain.”
Offerings will include classes such as the four-week Mindfulness for Beginners and Mindfulness for Anxiety seminars, and 90-minute workshops such as Digital Detox, Mindful Leadership, and Intro to Mindfulness, according to a release.
A partner to Center for BrainHealth at the University of Texas at Dallas, the Brain Performance Institute is the world’s first institute focused solely on delivering programs that improve brain performance.
“Training and maintaining a fit brain is just as important, if not more, than training your body.”
The facility offers services for healthy people as well as those who have sustained a brain injury or disease.
The release said that studies, including work by the Center for BrainHealth, show mindful meditation correlates with well-being and mental health.
“Training and maintaining a fit brain is just as important, if not more, than training your body,” said Mastermind co-founder Mari Woodlief in the release. “Mastermind and the Brain Performance Institute are committed to the mission of healthy brains, that’s why we are offering a schedule of brain health-focused classes that are easily accessible to anyone who wants to improve their mental wellness.”
Classes will be held the Brain Performance Institute’s state-of the-art facilities during the day and in the evening, the release said.
A full schedule of classes and registration details are available at the Mastermind website, or by calling 214-522-4575.
