McKinney-based Advice Interactive Group recently announced it has acquired Scanther Mobile.
The Austin-based mobile app startup promises businesses and brands a “mobile app in less than a minute,” that can then be submitted to iTunes or Google Play. Its technology also enables brands to make real-time edits to their app’s content.
As part of the deal, Scanther’s technology will be integrated as Advice Mobile into Advice Interactive Group’s local presence offerings for businesses. Scanther co-founders EJ and Austin Archuleta also will begin working for Advice.
“This acquisition will bolster our focus on the belief that mobile devices will be the dominant platform reshaping digital marketing,” said Advice Interactive Group CEO Bernadette Coleman in a release. “There is a big shift towards using intelligent devices that will help businesses engage and develop even more personalized relationships with their clients.”
