Named last Wednesday at City Hall, Kristoddie Woods — known as Black Ceasar — steps into a two-year term as the city’s poetic ambassador, bringing verse into schools, libraries, and public spaces alongside youth poet laureate Cadence Diggs, a 17-year-old Booker T. Washington High School student, with a shared focus on lifting young voices.
