Carrollton-based Swiss American CDMO and Irving’s BioNTX are joining forces to host the inaugural Biotechnology and Healthcare Industry Alliance of North Texas (BHIANT) launch meeting, in a bid to champion a next-generation, industry-led workforce partnership.
The partners said that Dallas-Fort Worth area employers will benefit from a skilled workforce that serves communities through high-paying, quality jobs in biotechnology, biomanufacturing, and industry related entry-level positions.
“The future success of this industry relies, in part, on the supply of both entry-level and long-term career pathways,” Dr. Aaron BenComo, director of business and industry for BioNTX, said in a statement. “So, working closely with Swiss American, Dallas College and our partner institutions, the BHIANT represents the industry-driven component of this sector-partnership.”
The inaugural BHIANT event will be held June 22 with Swiss American CDMO hosting in Carrollton at its 1540 Luna Road facility.
The alliance seeks to bring together industry trade and manufacturing ecosystems, the partners said. Swiss American is a drug and medical device Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization and BioNTX is a biotechnology trade organization.
