There’s a new leader at the wheel of Uber DFW following Thursday’s announcement that Beth Huddleston has been named general manager for the tech company in Dallas-Fort Worth.
She replaces Leandre Johns who is moving into a statewide external affairs position, according to a release from Uber, which operates in 20 Texas cities with offices in Dallas, Houston and Austin.
Huddleston will lead the Uber operation and marketing for the Dallas-Fort Worth region, as well as north and west Texas.
Huddleston comes to Dallas from Atlanta, where she worked most recently as a consultant at McKinsey and Co. She served clients in the travel, transport, and logistics industries with a focus on customer experience, the release said.
“Joining Uber is a terrific opportunity to help grow a service that I love and trust.”

In her role with McKinsey, Huddleston got first-hand experience with Uber during four years of travel.
“Before coming to work here, I chose Uber as my primary means of transportation every day for four years,” Huddleston said in the release. “Joining Uber is a terrific opportunity to help grow a service that I love and trust.”
Uber DFW operates from offices in the West End district of downtown Dallas. The company’s corporate headquarters is in San Francisco.
