Dallas-based advertising services firm The Yadot Group—whose far-flung acquisition strategy includes the recent addition of Milan, Italy’s JetSet Productions and NYC-based Outside People—has scoped out a prize in its own back yard.
The Yadot Group has agreed to acquire Socials Dallas, a Dallas-based experiential agency. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
“The potential upside this deal brings to The Yadot Group and its companies as well as Socials itself is immense,” Yadot Group Founder and Global CEO Kyle Borgman said in a statement. “Not only does this acquisition mark our commitment to media innovation and a calculated progression in our offer to brands, but it provides Socials with access to resources it needs to enable significant domestic and global expansion.”
Borgman launched The Yadot Group in January. He’s also the chairman and CEO of the Borgman Family Office, according to his LinkedIn page.
‘Invite only’ private events at Bar Colette, Good Surf, and more
Historically, Socials Dallas has operated with a consumer-facing business unit that offers an “invite only” membership experience with exclusive perks, as well as invitations to private events at top hospitality groups such as Milkshake Concepts, Exxir Capital, and Groot Hospitality in addition to popular establishments such as Mayer’s Garden, The Goat, Bar Colette, and Good Surf.
Yadot Group said the deal brings a niche group of “elite micro-influencer members” to improve digital traction within local markets for restaurants. With a group of less than 300 individuals in a Dallas population of nearly 1.3 million people, being part of the 0.2% membership offers an attractive level of prestige and distinction, Yadot Group said.
Socials Dallas Founder Alexandre Peres says that being a member of Socials Dallas “means a lot more than people may believe.”
“As we step into global expansion with the help of The Yadot Group, our uniquely structured business will exponentially increase its value for our partners and members.” Peres added in a statement. “With thousands of organic social media stories from members sharing our brand and our partners’ brands within six months, we’re elated for the future of Socials Dallas and its expansion into additional cities and countries.”
Expansion is a top priority for Socials’ corporate strategy which could lead to quick launches into large cities such as New York, Miami, Scottsdale, and major cities across Latin America and Western Europe within the coming months, Yadot said.
JetSet and Outside People acquisitions
Last month, The Yadot Group acquired Milan-based JetSet Productions.
JetSet was founded by Dionysos Wanklemuth more than a decade ago and has delivered production and creative work for many of the world’s most influential brands, including Apple, Bugatti, Vogue, Polaroid, Brioni, Boggi, Fabiana Filippo, Cavalli, Liu-Jo, Elle, and GQ. Jetset’s team will join The Yadot Group, reinforcing its commitment to cultivating “world-class creativity” for Fortune 1000 brands.
In June, The Yadot Group announced its acquisition of New York-based production company Outside People.
With that acquisition, Outside People “will work synergistically with Yadot Studios, a majority-owned production company already under the group’s umbrella,” Yadot said at the time.
“We’re in the acquisitions business, plain and simple,” Borgman said in June. “Our aim is to build the largest, and more importantly, most effective advertising services group in the world and that will not happen organically. We’re shopping in good and bad economies.”
