ActiveOps’ Performance Benchmarking Tool Uses AI to Give Companies a Competitive Advantage

Using live operations data, OpsIndex measures and compares performance across back-office teams to answer the question: How good are we?

If you’ve ever wondered how your office team members’ efficiency stacks up against your peers, ActiveOps has a new tool for that.

Headquartered in the United Kingdom with a U.S. base in Dallas, ActiveOps provides cloud-based workforce management (WFM) solutions for banks, insurance companies, and a variety of business processes. One of its newest offerings is OpsIndex.

The OpsIndex benchmark uses AI and machine learning to mine anonymized data from the ActiveOps customer base to help managers evaluate their people and processes.

“In times when businesses are looking for rapid and high yielding sources of performance improvement, upgrading your operation control systems is a huge opportunity for rapid and sustainable gain,” Richard Jeffery, CEO of ActiveOps, said in a statement. “For the first time, leaders in so-called back-office functions can answer the question—how good are we?”

The tool measures operations in five areas: agility in managing work and resources, controlling production to meet goals, effectiveness in meeting service goals, efficiency in team performance, and focusing time on core activities.

ActiveOps helps companies automate management processes and get a snapshot of how they compare to others in the global user base.

Last month, ActiveOps launched another new tool to help companies manage remote employees: Leading Remote Operations – Managing at a Distance. They also have a host of resources for leaders with dispersed teams.

The new benchmark OpsIndex can help leaders evaluate the efficiency of employees working from home (or anywhere else).

“The impact of perspective is dramatic,” Stuart Pugh, Head of Customer Success, said in a statement. “No longer is every specialist function an island. The remarkable thing with OpsIndex benchmarks is that you can immediately dive into your data to see where the issue is and what’s causing it. It’s actionable insight.”
