.…on Saturday’s second annual Get Connected Dallas event at For Oak Cliff in Dallas.
This Saturday, the Dallas Innovation Alliance (DIA) and CARDBoard Project are presenting the second annual edition of Get Connected Dallas, which will kick off Dallas Digital Inclusion Week from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at For Oak Cliff, 907 E. Ledbetter Drive in Dallas.
The event will bring the latest in tech, connection, and innovation to the heart of the community, DIA said—including including a robot petting zoo, the Innovate & Create Digital Art Challenge, including a robot petting zoo, tech workshops, and the Innovate & Create Digital Art Challenge, DJ-spun music and arts entertainment, and more.
“This event is more than just a tech showcase,” DIA’s Sanders said in a statement. “We can’t wait for attendees to experience these exciting additions, from the art challenge to the robot petting zoo, workshops, and incredible live performances.”
Backed by Santander Consumer USA, Capital One, and EY, the event features:
- Live performances, workshops, tech exhibits, and cutting-edge interactive experiences; it’s the perfect place to learn, connect, and get inspired by Dallas’ brightest tech minds
- Carnival rides, food trucks, digital caricature artist, and the For Oak Cliff Farmer’s Market
- Raffles for chances to win prizes including laptops, State Fair tickets, gift cards, and more
- Educational workshops and learning opportunities on digital literacy, security, and other skills
Innovate & Create Digital Art Challenge
DIA said this year’s event will introduce the Innovate & Create Digital Art Challenge, in collaboration with the City of Dallas Office of Community Care, Arts & Culture, and the Dallas Public Library. Artists from across the city have been working on innovative digital creations, and the top finalists will take the stage at Get Connected Dallas.
DIA said that attendees will be able to vote live for their favorite artwork as it’s showcased throughout the event.
Robot Petting Zoo
Another highlight will be the Robot Petting Zoo, presented by RobotLab, Trilogy NextGen Solutions, and BEST of Texas. Visitors can meet, greet, and even “pet” a variety of robots designed for education, industry, and fun. They will be able to Interact with cutting-edge robotics technology that’s shaping the future—from agile robotic arms to friendly AI companions, this exhibit is an interactive exploration of the tech that’s transforming the world around us.
Entertainment from Dallas Cowboys Official DJ
The Get Connected Dallas event will have performances from DJ 13lackbeard, the official DJ of the Dallas Cowboys, who will be spinning tracks all day. SpaceBoi Fresh, a crowd-favorite MC, will host the event and engage the audience. Infinite Arts Movement will join the action onstage at noon.

DIA said that connecting to the internet and to the resources available are a big part of Get Connected Dallas—workshops on vital digital skills, digital literacy, cybersecurity, and design will be available in “10-Step Resource Alley,” which features organizations that provide access to services ranging from transportation and shopping to education.
“Get Connected Dallas is about bringing people together to bridge the digital divide. We’re not just talking about access to the internet—we’re talking about empowering our community with tools for better education, job training, and healthcare. Events like this are vital for showing everyone how technology can improve their lives,” said Armando Cantu, executive director of the CARDBoard Project.
