Phoenix-based For The Record has developed its platform to deliver “legal grade” speech-to-text and real-time, multilingual transcription technology powered by artificial intelligence.
By incorporating CloudGavel, Tyler’s courts and public safety solutions will offer enhanced real-time data access for law enforcement agencies and judicial officers, the company said.
Tyler said the acquisition strengthens its comprehensive public safety suite at a critical time, noting that by Jan. 1, all fire and EMS departments nationwide must move from the National Fire Incident Reporting System to the National Emergency Response Information System (NERIS).
Tyler President and CEO Lynn Moore hailed the moves—which include new chief marketing, chief legal, and chief administrative officers—as milestones reflecting the company's commitment to "continuous innovation and collaboration."

Tyler Technologies—whose headquarters campus is in Plano (above)—has acquired Massachusetts-based Safeground Analytics, a company providing real estate appraisals and assessments for states, counties, and municipalities. “Tyler has been the leader in the appraisal market for more than 80 years, and we remain committed to strengthening our service offerings in this space,” said Mark Hawkins, president of Tyler’s Property & Recoding Division.

Tyler Technologies—a Plano-based Fortune 500 govtech company—has acquired US eDirect, a leading international provider of tech solutions for campground and outdoor recreation management. The move follows Tyler's April 2021 acquisition of NIC, a leader in digital government solutions and payments.
The deal will act as a major benefit to government technology users, as it represents two complementary public sector companies coming together. NIC is a digital government solutions and payments company and Tyler is the largest provider of integrated software and tech services to local, state, and federal governments.
As more state, local, and federal government agencies move to a cloud-based environment, which has only accelerated during the COVID-19 pandemic, Tyler's new team will help create a roadmap toward a public cloud infrastructure.
Bruce Graham's 12-year career at a Plano-based company that provides technology for the public sector led him to find a new, but similar, passion at Plano neighbor Both Ends Believing. The nonprofit helps governments in developing countries move children from institutions to permanent families—all through the use of technology that Tyler helped develop.
Though not entirely free of the economic effects caused by the pandemic, Plano-based Tyler Technologies has continued to serve government entities. In fact, it's forging ahead. Tyler now serves Texas' 20 largest counties and is moving forward with a four-stage plan to roll out one of its solutions across the U.S.
Tyler Technologies has a workplace culture dedicated to employee well-being, whether that be through its fitness center, collaborative workspaces, or YMCA facility-turned-office building.
