Dallas-based sports entertainment and technology company Topgolf has announced several leadership moves it said will help propel the company business forward. Topgolf, which currently has 85 global venues, plans to open another 50-plus venues over the next five years — roughly 11 new venues each year....

Topgolf has 70 driving range game venues as far-flung as Germany, Australia, and Dubai. But now it's launched a mobile game you can play anywhere. "Shankstars" features a club-wielding UFO alien, a Tee-Wrex skeleton, a punk goddess, mermaid, and more playing on courses strewn with volcanos, pyramids, and giant waterfall-spewing skulls.
"Shankstars is a perfect example of how we're focused on enabling more people to have fun and enjoy the game of golf in their own way," says Topgolf CEO Artie Starrs.

The first TOCA Social launched last August in London, attracting cast members from "Ted Lasso" and top Premier League players. The Dallas location, slated to open in 2023, will offer a three-floor, 56K-SF experience of dining, drinks, and interactive soccer games in 34 "TOCA boxes." The top two floors and their huge decks will offer "bonkers" views of the Dallas skyline—and may be a magnet for corporate events.
