The EV charging center from San Marcos-based XCharge North America will feature more than 20 stalls with ultra-fast EV chargers. Once it's established, XCharge said the superhub will serve as "the largest non-Tesla DC fast-charging hub in the region," featuring 3 megawatt-hours of storage capacity that also offers grid support.

Japan-based cybersecurity provider Trend Micro has its U.S. headquarters is in Irving. One way the company fights overall cyber threats: the Trend Micro Zero Day Initiative's Pwn2Own bug bounty competition, which for 17 years has rewarded security researchers for privately disclosing vulnerabilities. Today, recognizing the growing threat to the world's connected vehicle ecosystem, Trend Micro announced a standalone competition—Pwn2Own Automotive—to take place in January 2024 at Automotive World Tokyo.

McKinney's Wistron GreenTech has partnered with New Jersey-based Princeton NuEnergy on a lithium-Ion battery direct recycling pilot production line, which officially opened in McKinney today. PNE founder Dr. Yan Chao calls it a "powerful next step" in a vision for covering a nationwide close-loop recycling supply chain for the batteries.
