Focused on community health, this weekend's April 4-5 hackathon attracted more than 200 applicants, with 120 participants selected to form cross-functional teams of students, researchers, clinicians, engineers, and entrepreneurs.
Starting Saturday at UT Dallas, more than 1,000 university students from across the country will red-eye their way through a 24-hour hackathon—creating new apps and hardware from scratch to meet challenges from corporate sponsors. More than 200 projects will be on tap—with over $80,000 in prizes for the winners.
"Breaking Barriers: A Generative AI Hackathon for Digital Inclusion" will take place September 20-23 at the AT&T Foundry in Plano. WIth over $15,000 in prizes, the event is sponsored by Nvidia, which dominates the AI chip market, and Anthropic, the San Francisco company behind the Claude AI chatbot.
After years of holding its annual event in Frisco, CodeLaunch DFW is coming to Southside Music Hall at Gilley’s in Dallas on November 16. Six companies will face off for the top prize in an event that comprises a tech tradeshow, a startup conference, and a “raucous networking event.” And this year it's modeling itself after local favorite Digital Fight Club.
“CodeLaunch is a startup and rock-n-roll show like nothing you've ever seen before,” promises President and Founder Jason Taylor.
CodeLaunch—known for splashy events that are part tech trade show, part startup conference—will host the finals of its 10th seed accelerator competition on November 17 at Frisco's Comerica Center.
