Drive Shack Names Interim CEO and Engages External Finance Pros After CEO, CFO Departures

The Dallas-based owner and operator of golf-related leisure and entertainment businesses, including Puttery, has announced a search for a new CEO following the departure of Hana Khouri this week. Mike Compton has been named interim CEO. The company expects to name a CFO as it completes its search for a permanent chief executive.

The move comes several weeks after Dallas-based Drive Shack—whose portfolio consists of American Golf, Drive Shack, and Puttery—voluntarily delisted from the NYSE. “We are excited to trade on the OTCQX market to allow efficient, cost-effective access to the U.S. capital markets and transparent trading for our investors as we drive to increase shareholder value in the public markets,” said Hana Khouri, the company's president and CEO.

Dallas-based Drive Shack Inc., creator of the modern mini-golf brand Puttery, plans to voluntarily delist from the NYSE in order to focus on running the business and achieving growth.

Entertainment venues and "competitive socializing" are a driver of that growth: Puttery has expanded to five locations since its debut in North Texas in 2021. "Going dark" will allow management and employees to focus on running the business and achieving growth—without the distractions of being a publicly traded company, it says.
