Toronto-based GameSquare Esports acquired Frisco's Complexity Gaming in June 2021. Since launching in 2003, Complexity has won over 140 esports championships in nearly 30 games, and is headquartered at The Star in Frisco.

The Dallas Jackals finished their inaugural Major League Rugby season in June, finishing 0-16. (Sound familiar? The Dallas Cowboys went winless in their 1960 debut season, too.) Now the team aims to improve both on the pitch and on the balance sheet, with new front office leadership including President Steve Violetta and GM Santiago Sodini. The Cowboys became America's Team. Jordan Fisher has done everything from winning ABC's "Dancing With the Stars" to acting in "Hamilton" on Broadway to being a music artist to starring in movies like Netflix's "Work It."
Now he's going big with gaming. Fisher recently became part owner and content creator at Complexity Gaming, the esports organization headquartered at The Star in Frisco. As a part owner, he has good company: the Dallas Cowboys' Jerry Jones and investor John Goff are part owners, too.

Plano-based digital fitness systems startup OxeFit has announced new funding from backers including PGA golfer Dustin Johnson and Los Angeles Rams cornerback Jalen Ramsey.
That brings OxeFit's total funding to more than $35 million, including existing backing from current and former Dallas Cowboys players Dak Prescott, Jason Witten, Dez Bryant, and Blake Jarwin.
