In March, after 21 seasons, Dr. Phil McGraw announced the end of his daytime platform "Dr. Phil." His new network, Merit Street Media, will be anchored by "Dr. Phil Primetime," set to premiere on Feb. 26. Dozens of longtime "Dr. Phil" staffers have relocated their families to Texas for the project, the network said.

Through a long-term agreement with General Motors, MP Materials is bringing its MP Magnets division to AllianceTexas in Fort Worth. The company is building a new, 200,000-square-foot rare earth magnetics and materials manufacturing facility which will "re-shore" critical components for America's EV batteries, robots, drones, defense systems, and other tech.

Dublin, Ireland-based Manna, the world’s first aviation-grade B2B "drone delivery as-a-service" startup, has begun a trial in partnership with Dallas-based real estate development company Hillwood at its AllianceTexas development in Fort Worth. The trial will initially offer drone delivery to a select number of Hillwood’s residential developments.

Wing’s New Remote Operations Center Is Air Traffic Control for Its Drones

In April, Wing—a subsidiary of Alphabet and sister company of Google—began delivering products by drone to neighborhoods in Frisco and Little Elm from a "drone nest" in each city. The drones buzz with payloads from Walgreens, Blue Bell Creameries, Texas Health, and easyvet.
Now Wing has opened its second U.S. remote operations center in a Coppell office building to oversee the drone operations, staffed by FAA-licensed "pilots in command."

Hillwood's latest real estate deal is set to sweeten North Texas and beyond. Läderach Chocolatier Suisse, a 60-year-old family-owned premium Swiss chocolate company, will expand to AllianceTexas for their U.S. distribution center—allowing them to bring delicious freshness directly from Switzerland into retail stores across America.
Premium chocolates have one of the highest speed-to-market demands in the food and beverage industry, and Hillwood's Samuel Rhea says the deal gives "one of the world’s best chocolatiers" easy access to the unique multi-modal logistics platforms at AllianceTexas.

The new "fixed-based operation" facility at the heart of AllianceTexas will have over 20,000 square feet of "highly amenitized lounges" and meeting facilities and 68,000 square feet of attached hangar space.
Scheduled for completion in December, It will expand the airport's offerings with additional, "first-class" accommodations for flight crews, as well as more flexible, spacious lounges for pilots and passengers.

The airport moved up three spots to No. 20 in the FAA rankings. It landed more than 2.4 billion pounds of cargo in 2021, a volume increase of nearly 46% from the previous year.

Dallas-based Hillwood has broken ground on two spec industrial buildings in its AllianceTexas development in Fort Worth. The two buildings will total around 1.7 million square feet with cross-dock configurations and 40-foot clear heights. In total, industrial development at AllianceTexas will add nearly 4 million square feet this year, Hillwood says.

Until now, most autonomous delivery pilots have involved 18-wheelers driving on highways between cities. Gatik's new commercial partnership with Georgia-Pacific and KBX involves smaller loads: It's "the first time that Class 6 autonomous box trucks have been deployed" to disrupt the Class 8 semi-truck short-haul network, the startup said.
