Dallas-based Rogers Healy & Associates, Texas’ largest independent real estate brokerage, has been acquired by New York-based Compass.
Writing on LinkedIn, founder Rogers Healy said that while RHA “has much to be proud of and many incredible memories to hold onto for years to come, Compass has emerged as the stronger leader in the industry, advocating for agents and consumers, embracing change, and driving innovation.”
“I am certain this next chapter will best position agents for even greater success with elevated resources and opportunities,” Healy added.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Since its founding 20 years ago, Rogers Healy & Associates has grown into one of the nation’s largest independent real estate companies. According to the company;s website, the brokerage had about $1 billion in sales transactions in 2024.
Healy, a serial entrepreneur, said on LinkedIn that he plans to remain involved in real estate but will focus on venture capital endeavors with his own Morrison Seger Venture Partners, noting “it’s game time!”
Healy founded Morrison Seger Venture Capital Partners, or MoSe for short, in 2022. MoSe’s inaugural capital raise focused on Tiff’s Treats, an Austin-based cookie delivery company valued at $500 million at the time.
The firm, named after Healy’s favorite musicians Van Morrison, Jim Morrison, and Bob Seger, has a portfolio that includes trendy cereal company Magic Spoon, AI safety company Anthropic, Mike’s Hot Honey, and Snaps Clothing Co.
According to Candy’s Dirt, RHA agents will be merged into the Compass platform and operate under the Compass brand. Compass President Neda Navab said the company is “excited to welcome the incredible agents of RHA” as it continues growing its footprint in Dallas-Fort Worth, the outlet said.
Compass has continued to boost its presence in North Texas, recently expanding its Fort Worth office to accommodate several new high-performing teams and individual agents, Candy’s Dirt said.
Founded in 2012 and based in New York City, Compass is a leading tech-enabled real estate services company that includes the largest residential real estate brokerage in the United States by sales volume. In January, Compass announced a merger with Anywhere Real Estate Inc.
