RevTech Retail Accelerator Selects Quartet of 2018 Cohort Companies

The companies were selected because they exhibit strong entrepreneurial experience and ability to solve retail’s biggest challenges.

REVTECH

Dallas-based seed fund and venture capital retail accelerator RevTech has announced the companies that will participate in this year’s cohort.

RevTech said it selected four companies — two of them from Dallas — that show strong entrepreneurial experience and ability to solve retail’s biggest challenges.

By being chosen for the cohort, the companies will participate in a 12-week program, getting access to RevTech’s mentor network and industry resources.

The strong market response to this cohort’s respective solutions continues to impress me.”
Jonathan Fine

The strong market response to this cohort’s respective solutions continues to impress me. I look forward to supporting these companies throughout and beyond this program,” Jonathan Fine, RevTech’s vice president of business development, said in a release.

RevTech said that each week, the companies will participate in mentor-led workshops on refining their go-to-market strategies, gaining customer connections, and crafting their pitches.

Companies will conclude the program with the opportunity to pitch at RevTech’s Fall Tech Trends event.

Here are RevTech’s 2018 cohort companies:

Vessel

Vessel of Dallas drives engagement and increases revenue for digital content publishers. Vessel focuses on the lifestyle and travel space and leverages influencer-generated visual content to drive engagement. Its backend dashboard allows users to manage and analyze their campaign performance. The mobile app allows real-time content creation and the potential for undying editorial.

Xenio

San Francisco–based Xenio’s precision, real-time indoor positioning levels the playing field for physical stores by enabling brick-and-mortar retailers to precisely track the shoppers’ real-time behavior, tied to their profile, within the store. Shopper stats including dwell, traffic, and even velocity allow retailers to engage with customers at the right place, and at the right time via new services such as on-demand concierge and turn-by-turn navigation.

GuestX

Dallas–based GuestX has engineered a market ecosystem for all “things to do” whereby all the businesses can be found and can work together to sell more to each customer via bundling and a comprehensive point-of-sale experience. Attractions only need to join their local GuestX ecosystem. The company’s technologies can be employed by attraction and event venues to run their business fully or partially. Attractions can choose to use the tools to improve operations, revenue, marketing, and their relationship with their guest, or they can opt-in to letting others sell their ticket.

Engagement Agents

Engagement Agents is a Hamilton, Ontario, Canada–based company. Engagement Agents helps retailers with marketing campaigns and promotional material to ensure that they are current, consistent, correct, and compliants across all the marketing channels of the shopping centers that the retailer is in. Retailers already are paying for marketing and promotions through their shopping centers, and Engagement Agents automates and manages the complex distribution to all the retailer’s shopping centers to increase low engagement to 95 percent engagement.
