Polsinelli is uniquely positioned to deliver the entire spectrum of legal services to entrepreneurs. Indeed, it was Polsinelli’s own entrepreneurial spirit that fueled the launch of the firm in the Midwest in 1972 with only three attorneys, and accelerated its growth over the next 43 years to more than 750 attorneys. This tradition of entrepreneurialism is alive and well at the firm, and is now playing a leading role in Dallas. Stretching its geographic footprint into Texas in 2011 to accommodate client needs, the Dallas office of Polsinelli also began with just three attorneys and has now grown to more than 40 via strategic hires from the region’s most prominent law firms. Recently, the AmLaw 100 firm marked its dramatic growth with a move to Frost Tower. Polsinelli is now positioned to accommodate 125 attorneys in Dallas, thereby strengthening its ability to provide full-service counseling and advocacy for clients in the startup ecosystem.

Our attorneys deliver tailored representation, approaching challenges in the same fashion entrepreneurs do—mobilizing and responding with a sense of urgency because opportunities are fleeting. Specifically, our attorneys provide advice concerning choice of entity, ownership structure, private equity financings, venture capital transactions, mergers and acquisitions, and management buyouts. We assist with the identification of opportunities, development, and protection of intellectual property assets, compliance with and navigation of complex industry and government regulations, and the fight to protect your interests. As a result of our experience, passion, and focus, we’ve represented the fastest-growing companies in the United States, in a variety of industries including internet security, telecommunications, financial services, e-commerce, social media firms, software, biotechnology, and pioneers in the fields of alternative and clean energy.
We are consistently recognized for going above and beyond to provide clients business and legal advice by sharing ideas and suggestions and providing strong thought leadership on timely topics. For example, recent blog postings by Polsinelli’s Privacy and Data Security practice address issues such as Safe Harbor 2.0 and the details of the recently passed Cybersecurity Information Sharing Act (CISA). Polsinelli recognizes that for technology startups, maintaining strong security controls remains vital to winning new business opportunities and strengthening existing relationships, and we take pride in enabling our clients to meet these challenges.
Beyond providing these essential legal services, our attorneys are active in the Dallas-Fort Worth community and regularly participate as mentors, judges, and presenters to startups on the business of law through accelerators, sponsorships, and competitions that encourage the establishment and development of companies in many fields.
The firm’s leadership seeks best practices both within and outside the legal industry, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, progressive policies, and the ongoing development of innovative product and service offerings that greatly benefit our clients. An example of this is Polsinelli’s Cambio Idea Lab. “Our Cambio Idea Lab is an internal innovation program designed to encourage R+D in a professional services firm environment,” says Jon Henderson, Polsinelli’s Managing Partner in Dallas. “Challenging our own people to think differently exemplifies how innovation is at the core of Polsinelli’s values and actions.”
