TACA 50TH ANNIVERSARY GALA

TalentNet Live, known as the one of the largest recruiting industry events in the Southwest, presents its annual Dallas conference. NATIONAL DRIVE ELECTRIC WEEK KICKOFF

Join electric vehicle owners and enthusiasts in the celebration of electric vehicles nationwide, and what event organizers hope is a record-breaking number of EVs in one area. The celebration will kick-off at Grapevine Mills, where owners and advocates will showcase the forward technology and benefits of EVs. Colleyville City Council Member Mike Taylor will be a keynote speaker. Tesla Owners Club of North Texas welcomes all EV owners to a post-event party at Uncle Bunk’s Brewery.

The University of Texas at Dallas’s campus-based global entrepreneurship program, Blackstone LaunchPad, is teaming with the Venture Development Center to host a series of formal training for local startup companies, according to the event website. Film enthusiasts, artists, and musicians will gather together for the second annual Frame4Frame festival, which highlights the work of independent filmmakers both locally and worldwide. Renowned jazz musician and founder of the Fort Worth Jazz Orchestra, Adonis Rose, will open the music portion of the festival Thursday. The four-day event will include live music, art exhibits, and screenings of a collection of short films.

bigBANG! is Dallas’ longest-running event for social innovation, focused on driving deeper conversations and innovative solutions for positive change in our city, according to the event website. This year’s event will focus on how Dallas benefits from impact investing — using for-profit investments to create change. The event begins with a VIP reception Oct. 25 at Polsinelli, 2950 N. Harwood St., Suite 2100 in Dallas. The main conference will be Oct. 26 at Paul Quinn College, 3837 Simpson Stuart Road, in Dallas. The Oct. 27 deep dive session will be held at Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas, 2200 N. Pearl St. in Dallas.
