Instead of desks and cubicles, a 137,000-square-foot downtown Dallas office tower is now packed with servers.
Dallas-based Provision Data Services opened a new data center at 2020 Live Oak St. that’s available for tenants now, the company announced. The anchor tenant will be a Fortune 500 telecommunications company that will occupy 10,000 square feet of the 12-story building.
The site is ideal for a data center because it’s served by multiple power networks with double contingencies to ensure consistent electricity supply.
There’s also 14 megawatts of backup power if needed.
“Our vision for Provision Data Services is to provide best-in-class infrastructure technology for Fortune 500 enterprises to small independents,” said Clay Hill, CEO of Provision.
