Handcrafted footwear and apparel brand Twisted X, part of Decatur-based Twisted X Global Brands, is joining the step-into-shoe craze with the launch of EZ On, a new casual footwear collection developed to provide easy entry without compromising fit or structure. Arriving in stores this month, the initial release offers two men’s casual styles.
Designed for everyday wear, EZ On features a reinforced heel that holds its shape, making it easy to slide on with no bending or fuss. Elastic gore panels built into the tongue allow the shoe to be comfortably snug without laces.
“This collection reflects our commitment to innovation in casual footwear with a new intersection of weightless comfort and slide-and-go convenience,” Twisted X CEO Prasad Reddy said in a statement. “With EZ On, we’re delivering a solution that makes every day wear easier while maintaining the product standards our customers expect.”
The shoes’ premium luxeTWX leather upper and moc toe are designed for an elevated and versatile look, while UltraLite X technology uses a unique EVA compound to craft footwear that is on average 20% lighter for unmatched comfort, the company said. In a nod to its commitment to sustainability, Twisted X made the shoes’ Blend85 footbeds with 85% recycled foam.
Different from the brand’s popular Feather X collection, EZ On launches as its own line within the Twisted X footwear portfolio. The two men’s casual styles are available now through select retailers and online. Later this year, the company plans to introduce women’s styles.
Twisted X Global Brands is the parent company of Twisted X, Twisted X Work, Tamarindo, Black Star Boots, Wrangler Footwear, and CellSole. The company creates “comfortable, handcrafted footwear” for men, women, and children across the lifestyle, work, outdoor, and Western categories featuring patented CellStretch comfort technology.
Twisted X isn’t just for feet, by the way: In 2023, the North Texas-based brand launched its first apparel collection.
