North Texas’ DKBinnovative Names New CEO After Climb Through Leadership Ranks

The Frisco-based managed IT and cybersecurity firm promoted its COO to the top role just months after his latest appointment, part of a broader push to scale while preserving its culture and client-first approach.

Veteran executive Mike Walsh has been named chief executive officer of Frisco-based DKBinnovative, a provider of managed IT services and cybersecurity solutions.

Walsh was promoted to chief operating officer in April after previously serving as vice president of IT operations. He has held multiple leadership roles over the past seven years at DKB, where the company said he has demonstrated operational excellence, cultural alignment, and a strong commitment to client success.

“Mike has a unique ability to design systems that balance operational discipline with genuine care for people,” said Peter Bertran, chief client officer, in a statement. “His leadership elevates both the client and employee journey, which is exactly what makes DKBinnovative different.”

During his tenure, Walsh has helped shape DKB’s reputation as one of the top managed service providers in Texas, the company said. He is credited with developing scalable, client-centric processes that deliver measurable outcomes while fostering a culture of employee empowerment.

“Mike’s alignment with our values and his ability to anticipate the needs of both clients and employees make him the ideal leader to take DKB into its next phase of growth,” said Candice Dickerson, vice president of people.

Walsh said the company’s culture is what continues to set it apart.

“I am honored to step into the role of CEO and to continue leading DKBinnovative as the top Managed Service Provider in Texas,” Walsh said in a statement. “What makes DKB exceptional is our culture: we build processes that empower our employees to succeed, which in turn delivers unmatched value to our clients. My focus will remain on scaling our business in ways that never compromise our values.”

The company said that under Walsh’s leadership, it will continue expanding its footprint across Dallas-Fort Worth and beyond, delivering proactive IT solutions, compliance leadership, and cybersecurity strategies to help businesses operate securely and efficiently.
