Mouser Electronics Inc., the Mansfield-based distributor of semiconductors and electronic components, is teaming up with celebrity engineer Grant Imahara to continue its Innovation Spotlight interview series.
The newest interview is part of the Portable Power Series and Empowering Innovation Together program, according to a release from Mouser.
Imahara, best known for his role on the television series Mythbusters, will look at how component suppliers are focusing on energy management and storage in his interview with Adam White, vice president of sales at Infineon Technologies, a Platinum Program Partner of the interview series.
“As consumer electronics get smaller, and society becomes more reliant on battery-powered devices, it’s up to suppliers like Infineon to incorporate the latest technologies into power design.” _ Grant Imahara
The interview with White follows Imahara’s previous interview with Dr. Richard Kaner about harnessing energy with micro-supercapacitors, Mouser said.
In the newest interview, Imahara and White talk about the challenges of energy management and how new materials and technologies can improve energy efficiency, Mouser said.
“As consumer electronics get smaller, and society becomes more reliant on battery-powered devices, it’s up to suppliers like Infineon to incorporate the latest technologies into power design,” Imahara said in the release. “In this new Innovation Spotlight interview, viewers will learn about some of the new materials and methods Infineon is bringing to power management in 2016 and beyond.”
The interview series is only available at Mouser.com, and is part of the award-winning Empowering Innovation Together program, aimed at inspiring creative thinking for both aspiring and professional engineers.
