On a mission to make healthcare more accessible, DPC Healthcare launched what it’s calling Texas’ first mobile, direct primary care clinic.
DPC Healthcare, founded in 2017 by a group of healthcare innovators and physicians, says it’s the first membership-based practiced in Dallas-Fort Worth. Its membership programs provide 24/7 access to a clinical team, comprehensive physicals and labs, unlimited office visits, and house calls when necessary—especially now, thanks to the Mobile Clinic.
Once an ordinary Mercedes-Benz Sprinter Van, DPC Healthcare’s Mobile Clinic has been outfitted with key equipment and technology. While inside, doctors are able to perform routine services and common diagnoses:
- Most diagnosis and treatment of acute illnesses
- Management of chronic diseases
- Conduct routine physicals, including obtaining blood and urine specimens for diagnostic testing
- Conduct most preventative exams, such as well-woman exams
- Administer vaccines and IVs

- Physical therapy
The clinic on wheels will go directly to employer worksites and other locations beyond its typical clinics. DPC said it hopes to reduce costly time away from work and loved ones, discourage postponing medical attention, and even lower rates of absenteeism.
DPC Healthcare also enhanced its website’s functionality to support the new clinic. Users will soon be able to view the Mobile Clinic’s schedule online and follow it on social media.
“We realized early on that supporting our employers would require us to provide alternative delivery methods of care with accessibility and giving time back to our members being the top areas of focus,” Chief Physician Officer Dr. Paul A. Fabela said in a statement.
