Global Tech Company Shokworks Inc to Move HQ from Miami to Dallas

Shokworks has generated over $100M in direct revenue and cost-savings for its clients including Fox Sports, Real Madrid, Dupont Chemicals, FC Barcelona, Telemundo, and the United Kingdom government.

Shokworks Inc plans to make a move from Miami to a 4,000-square-foot space around Downtown Dallas in early November. CEO Alejandro Laplana will be based in the new headquarters along with 10 other employees.

Shokworks develops and operates software solutions for startups to large brands, according to a statement. The global tech company specializes in mobile-first app and web design, development, and marketing; big data analytics and artificial intelligence; augmented reality/virtual reality games and activations; and Blockchain and FinTech.

For Shokworks, the move to Dallas was strategic.

“Dallas has become a spot that tech companies, green energy and financial institutions are pouring into to call home,” Laplana said in a statement. “We believe this is the perfect time for Shokworks to stake our claim.”

Since launching five years ago, Shokworks has developed products for clients including Telefonica, Fox Sports, Real Madrid, Kinesis Money, Dupont Chemicals, FC Barcelona, Telemundo, and the United Kingdom government. For its clients and partners, Shokworks has generated over $100 million in direct revenue and cost-savings through its products, according to a statement.

Shokworks’ products have garnered more than 10 million downloads in aggregate on the iTunes App Store and Google Play store, with one being named App of the Day by the iTunes App Store twice in less than 30 days.

Aliant Payments recently partnered with Shokworks on an app called CryptoBucks, which allows people to securely accept cryptocurrencies and convert them to U.S. dollars. Shokworks calls the product the “first Blockchain-based crypto to fiat converter in the payment industry.”

Shokworks has over 300 full-time engineers creating both mobile and web-based software solutions on staff. Laplana expects that the company will have more new hires in 2020-2021.

Shokworks will make the headquarters move official on Thursday, September 3, during a reception at The Statler.
